Miami taxpayers face $63M bill for commissioner's actions.

Former Miami city commissioner Joe Carollo lost a federal civil trial and was ordered to pay $63 million in damages to two businessmen who claimed he violated their First Amendment rights. Fellow Commissioner Manolo Reyes believes Carollo should pay the damages, but ex-Commissioner Ken Russell warns that Miami taxpayers could end up paying the bill. Carollo's attorneys plan to appeal the verdict, and a similar lawsuit against the city is ongoing. Taxpayers are already responsible for Carollo's nearly $2 million in legal fees.
