Mysterious Nighttime Sewer Forays Spark NYC Investigation
TL;DR
Security cameras captured groups entering and exiting New York City sewers through maintenance holes in Brooklyn and Queens at night, with some changing clothes and carrying tools. The DEP says the sewer system isn’t damaged and notes that sewer entry is illegal and dangerous; no injuries or arrests have been reported as investigators look into the incidents, which follow a Midtown death last month when a hole cover was dislodged by a truck.
