Ohio Police Fatally Shoot Man Near RNC in Milwaukee

Five Columbus, Ohio police officers shot and killed Samuel Sharpe Jr., a Milwaukee man known as Jehovah, after he charged at another person with knives near the Republican National Convention security perimeter. The incident, which did not involve Milwaukee police, has sparked criticism and concern from local residents and activists about the involvement of out-of-state officers unfamiliar with the community. The Milwaukee Area Investigative Team is investigating the shooting.
