Richmond Police's Silence on Graduation Day Shooting Investigation Frustrates Officials and Public.

Richmond Police canceled a press conference on the Graduation Day shooting outside the Altria Theater, but Interim Police Chief Rick Edwards shared a video with a prepared statement instead. Edwards said that he could not provide the types of details that many in the community and the media are asking for, as they could jeopardize the eventual criminal case. He did provide some answers to questions, including that no guns were brought inside the Altria theater during the course of the graduation and that the shooting does not appear to be gang-related. The investigation is ongoing.
