"Tragic Events Unfold in Burnsville: Remembering the Fallen and Supporting the Survivors"

A public funeral for the three first responders killed in Burnsville is scheduled for February 28 at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, with private funerals also planned for each victim. The fallen first responders, police officers Matthew Ruge and Paul Elmstrand, and firefighter and paramedic Adam Finseth, were fatally shot during a standoff, with the suspect also dying by suicide. The community has come together to support the grieving families, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the confrontation.
