Brush Fire Above Burbank Triggers Evacuations Near DeBell Golf Course
TL;DR
Fire crews battled a brush fire on the hillside above Burbank near E. Walnut Avenue, growing to about 20 acres and prompting evacuation orders for DeBell Restaurant & Golf Course and Stough Canyon Nature Center; hiking trails were closed, a shelter-in-place was issued for nearby residents, the Starlight Bowl concert was canceled, and heavy water drops helped reduce the smoke plume.
