Columbus officer wounded, suspect killed after Linden traffic stop gunfire

A Columbus police officer was shot and injured and a suspect was killed after an attempted traffic stop in Linden. After fleeing the scene, officers located a male driver about 1.5 miles away; when officers exited their cruiser, the suspect opened fire, and officers returned fire. Both individuals were taken to Grant Medical Center; the suspect was pronounced dead, and the officer underwent surgery with the condition not disclosed. The Ohio Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation.
