Devastating 1-million-square-foot Medline warehouse fire hits Tracy
TL;DR
A massive fire destroyed a 1-million-square-foot Medline Industries medical-supply warehouse in Tracy, California, prompting evacuations of the facility and nearby warehouses; there were no reported injuries, but smoke raised air-quality concerns due to irritants and potential toxins. Firefighters faced difficult conditions from high winds, heat, low humidity, and water-pressure problems, with sprinklers not operating; some nearby sites, including a FedEx facility, were affected. Medline says all employees are accounted for, and officials expect the blaze to burn for days.
