Lehigh River rafting tragedy: 12-year-old Sag Harbor student identified as drowning victim

A 12-year-old Sag Harbor School District student, Cesar Albarracin Guncay, died after a raft carrying five on a school trip capsized on the Lehigh River in East Penn Township, Carbon County. An autopsy ruled drowning and the death an accident. Four others were rescued while one additional passenger remained missing during the initial search; the coroner and PA Fish and Boat Commission, with state police, are investigating. A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family, and the rafting company says it’s cooperating with investigators.
