Long Island double stabbing: suspect in custody as investigation proceeds

A suspect is in custody after two people were stabbed to death in separate locations on Long Island. One victim, a Wendy’s employee, was killed in Island Park around 12:30 a.m., and a second victim was found at a home in Valley Stream about two and a half hours later. Investigators say the attacks are connected and that the suspect knew both victims; a police briefing and arraignment are expected as the investigation continues.
