New Sagamore Bridge Renderings Show Wider Cape Cod Crossing with Bike Path

MassDOT released renderings of the planned Sagamore Bridge replacement on Cape Cod, showing a wider, longer span with 12-foot vehicle lanes, a shared-use path for cyclists and pedestrians, improved lighting, and foundations designed for marine traffic; construction could start by the end of 2027, with about five years to shift traffic onto the new bridge and a projected completion around 2036, at a cost just over $2 billion.
