Virginia duo identified in deadly wrong-way crash along I-270 Spur in Maryland

A Virginia mother, Shamima Begum, 46, and her daughter Areebah Jahin, 23, of Burke and Alexandria, were killed when a northbound Ford Mustang drove the wrong way into southbound lanes of the I-270 Spur near Bethesda, Maryland, striking a Toyota Camry; two other occupants in the Camry were hospitalized. Investigators say impairment may have contributed; the Mustang driver, Jose Caballero Nolasco, 32, of Germantown, faces multiple charges and remains jailed. The crash shut the roadway for about five hours.
