Wayne County shooting spree leaves four dead, including Rittman sergeant

A violent night in Wayne County left four dead, including Sgt. Scott Ries of the Rittman Police Department, after a disturbance on Chippewa Trail led to a gunfight; the suspect died by suicide, two Medina County deputies were shot (two later treated and in stable condition), a Wayne County K-9 was seriously wounded, and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation.
