Solutions journalism on the rise to combat bad news fatigue, says CBS News.

CBS News is leading the way in solutions journalism, training news leaders at its 14 local stations to look past the who, what, where and why to ask how they can help make their communities better places to live. The network works with the Solutions Journalism Network, an organization formed in 2013 by two former New York Times reporters, David Bornstein and Tina Rosenberg, and entrepreneur Courtney Martin. The movement is growing as thousands of journalists and more than 600 news organizations have undergone training in its tenets.
