Severe storms cause widespread damage and power outages in northeast Oklahoma.

Severe storms with damaging winds have caused widespread damage to power lines and poles in Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, leaving approximately 61,000 customers without power. OG&E crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible, but given the significant damage, this will be a multi-day power restoration event. Customers are advised not to approach crews and utility vehicles in their neighborhood for safety reasons.
