"2022 Deadly Blaze Site Threatened as Northern California Fire Forces Evacuations"

Evacuations have been ordered in Northern California as a wildfire, known as the Head Fire, rapidly spreads through the Klamath National Forest near the site of a deadly blaze in 2022. The fire, fueled by gusty winds from thunderstorms, is one of at least 19 fires that erupted in the area. The blaze has grown to an estimated size of 4.7 to 6.3 square miles, prompting evacuation orders and warnings. While there have been no immediate reports of injuries or homes burned, spot fires have jumped the Klamath River. Lightning-caused fires have also been reported in other parts of Northern California.
