Deadly tornadoes wreak havoc across the South and Midwest.

At least 25 people have died as a result of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms that hit the Midwest, South, and Mid-Atlantic regions of the US. The fatalities were reported in Tennessee, Delaware, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Alabama, and Mississippi. Arkansas has declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard. Recovery operations are ongoing, and officials are waiting for another line of severe weather to move through before conducting further assessments.
