"Deadly Washington State Wildfire Destroys 185 Structures, Sparks State of Emergency"

A wind-driven wildfire in eastern Washington state has destroyed at least 185 structures, including homes and outbuildings, and left one person dead. The fire, known as the Gray Fire, started on the west side of Medical Lake and rapidly expanded, growing to nearly 15 square miles with zero containment. Evacuations were ordered for the town and extended to nearby areas. The fire also forced the closure of Interstate 90. In addition, hundreds of wildfires are burning in Western Canada, with about 30,000 people evacuated in British Columbia and 20,000 in Yellowknife. Canada is experiencing its worst wildfire season on record.
