Tom Liu, a survivor of the Maui wildfires, plans to rebuild his home with the help of FEMA and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Liu, who was evacuated during the wildfires, praised FEMA for their assistance and encouraged others to seek help through disasterassistance.gov. Over 10,000 FEMA assistance registrations have been received, with $13.6 million in federal housing and individual assistance provided. Homeowners and renters affected by the wildfires can also apply for disaster loans from the SBA.
