Resilience and Recovery: Tennessee's Tornado Survival Stories

A 4-month-old baby was swept up by a tornado in Clarksville, Tennessee, along with his bassinet, while his mother shielded her other child. The baby's father, injured and dislocated shoulder, found him crying and lodged in a fallen tree about 30 feet away from their destroyed home. The storms in Tennessee left a large swath of destruction, displacing thousands and killing at least six people. The family walked for more than a mile to find help, and the baby was eventually rescued by first responders and found to be in good health.
