"Abortion Ban Battles in South Carolina and North Carolina"
TL;DR
South Carolina Senator Mia McLeod speaks out against the state's recently passed abortion ban, stating that "all we're asking for is a choice." The ban, which prohibits abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, has been met with widespread criticism and legal challenges. McLeod argues that the ban is unconstitutional and infringes on women's reproductive rights. She calls for lawmakers to focus on improving access to healthcare and education rather than restricting abortion.
