"Arizona's Abortion Ban: Impact on State Politics and GOP Consequences"
TL;DR
Arizona's near-total abortion ban has intensified its role as a critical battleground state in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, with both Biden and Trump expected to fiercely compete for victory. The state's high-profile contest for the U.S. Senate majority, along with the ruling reviving the abortion ban, has further fueled the political dynamics. Democrats are pushing for a ballot question to protect abortion rights, while Biden's campaign launches a statewide advertising campaign linking Arizona's abortion restrictions to Trump. Despite Democratic investment in advertising, Trump remains optimistic about the state, citing a shift among Hispanic voters and GOP infighting.
