"Biden Condemns Trump Over Jan. 6 Riot Amidst Ongoing Struggle for Democracy"
TL;DR
President Biden marked the third anniversary of the January 6 Capitol riot with a social media post and a speech condemning the violence and the lies that fueled it, while Republicans, including former President Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, criticized Biden for using the anniversary for political gain and called the event a "fake insurrection." Trump, who has been charged with several crimes related to the riot and election aftermath, labeled Biden's speech as "ridiculous" and deflected by attacking Biden's presidency.
