Biden declares end to Covid-19 national emergency.

President Joe Biden signed a House bill ending the Covid-19 national emergency, which was first enacted during the Trump administration in 2020. The White House initially planned to extend the Covid-19 national emergency and the public health emergency until May 11, but House Republicans put forth bills to end both immediately. The law Biden signed Monday did not affect the public health emergency, which is still set to expire in May.
