Biden's Star-Studded Fundraising Tour Raises Millions
President Biden made a campaign swing in Los Angeles, headlining fundraisers and events attended by celebrities and big donors. The weekend's activities aimed to boost support for Biden's potential re-election bid, as recent polls indicate he could lose in a rematch with former President Donald Trump. Despite facing challenges such as economic anxieties and flagging poll numbers, Biden was received like a superstar in Hollywood. The events raised millions of dollars, with tickets ranging from $1,000 to $500,000. Biden criticized Trump and emphasized his administration's successes for Black, Latino, and LGBTQ constituencies. However, pro-Palestinian protesters were heard during one event, criticizing Biden's approach in Israel and Gaza.
