Boris Epshteyn to be interviewed by Jan. 6 special counsel.

Boris Epshteyn, a top adviser and lawyer for former President Donald Trump, is scheduled to be interviewed by special counsel Jack Smith's prosecutors on Thursday as part of the probe into Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 election. It's unclear why investigators are not seeking Epshteyn's testimony before the grand jury probing the matter, or whether that's a step they will ultimately take. Other top Trump advisers have appeared before the grand jury investigating Trump's actions leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
