Bruce Blakeman Enters NY Gubernatorial Race, Pitting GOP Against Stefanik
TL;DR
New York Republicans are heading towards a contentious gubernatorial primary between Elise Stefanik and Bruce Blakeman, with President Trump’s ambiguous stance adding to the uncertainty. Trump has not explicitly endorsed a candidate, despite discussions with Blakeman and praise for both candidates, which complicates the GOP's strategy in a deeply Democratic state. The outcome of the primary and Trump’s potential endorsement could significantly influence the race against Democratic candidate Kathy Hochul.
