A new poll conducted by Victory Research has revealed a close race between Paul Vallas and Brandon Johnson for the Chicago mayoral election, with Vallas leading by only two points. Johnson has gained support from progressive voters following an endorsement from former rival Congressman Jesus "Chuy" Garcia. A gender gap has also emerged, with Johnson now slightly leading among female voters. Vallas holds a lead in areas he won in the first election, while Johnson leads on the South and West sides of the city. Early voting for the April 4 runoff election has opened.
