Classified Documents Probe Widens to Include Mar-a-Lago Staff and Trump's Attorney.

Special counsel Jack Smith is seeking to question former President Donald Trump's attorney, Evan Corcoran, about an alleged phone call the two held on June 24, 2022, as investigators were building evidence about Trump's potential obstruction of the government's efforts to retrieve classified materials that he had retained after leaving the White House. Smith has pressed for a federal judge to pierce attorney-client privilege and force Corcoran to testify. Investigators have also sought to compel the testimony of another attorney for Trump, Jennifer Little, as part of the investigation into the Mar-a-Lago documents.
