Colorado Governor Signs Bills Banning Ghost Guns and Greyhound Racing, Cracking Down on Car Theft.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed Senate Bill 279 into law, banning the manufacture, possession, and sale of unserialized firearms and firearm parts, commonly known as ghost guns. The law went into effect immediately and violators can face up to 364 days in jail or three years in prison for subsequent offenses. Ghost guns have been used in recent high-profile shootings in Colorado and are increasingly being used in crimes across the state. The new law is one of five major gun control bills passed by the Colorado legislature this year. Republicans opposed the measure on Second Amendment grounds.
