Senator James Lankford (R-Okla.) criticized President Biden for not being willing to negotiate with lawmakers on the debt ceiling as the deadline nears to avoid default. Lankford hopes that Biden and Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) can find common ground in a meeting on Tuesday to discuss government spending priorities and avoid adding more debt.
