Dem Leaders condemn Texas candidate's antisemitic rhetoric

Top House Democrats condemned Texas Democratic runoff candidate Maureen Galindo after she posted antisemitic remarks about Zionists and pledged to turn an ICE detention center into a “prison for American Zionists.” They called the rhetoric disqualifying and pointed to outside money from the newly formed Lead Left PAC boosting her campaign, with funding sources unclear. Galindo led the March primary in Texas’ 35th District and is in a runoff against Johnny Garcia; the winner will face the Republican runoff winner between Carlos De La Cruz and John Lujan.
