House Oversight Chairman James Comer has been accused by Democrats of withholding evidence and misrepresenting witnesses in his inquiry into whether President Biden and members of his family were involved in an influence-peddling scheme. Comer has claimed to have met with four whistleblowers, but Democrats say he has only met with two individuals and has not provided access to the committee records. Comer has directed much of the committee’s efforts at examining the Bidens, looking into the sources of foreign donations and financial support that Comer has claimed have come to members of the Biden family.
