Denver's Political Landscape: Job Guarantees, Stadium Funding, Settlements, Housing Affordability, and Police Support

State Rep. Leslie Herod, who endorsed Mike Johnston in the Denver mayoral race, allegedly sought a job guarantee in Kelly Brough's administration in exchange for her endorsement. Brough and a third person involved in the discussion confirmed that Herod wanted a promise of an important position, but Herod denies the claim. Johnston's campaign also denies any promise of jobs to endorsers. Brough said she intends to create stakeholder groups to identify the best applicants for each position in her administration.
