Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has envisioned a "7-2 conservative majority that would last a quarter-century" on the US Supreme Court if he is elected president next year. DeSantis also took a shot at conservative Chief Justice John Roberts, who has sided with liberals on key decisions, including the one last year which eliminated federal abortion rights. The governor is expected to announce his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination this week, fueled by hard-right state legislation, including a six-week abortion ban.
