"DeSantis faces criticism and hecklers on campaign trail"

Critics of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have recently called him out for "fascism" in multiple incidents. DeSantis has sought to overhaul education in the state, including blocking instruction about sexual orientation and gender identity in all grades and requiring books available to children be approved by a "district employee holding a valid educational media specialist certificate." During a campaign event in South Carolina, DeSantis was called a "fascist" by a member of the crowd, to which he responded by saying "we’re not going to let you impose an agenda on our kids."
