DeSantis rejects Trump extradition in response to indictment.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for "weaponizing" campaign finance laws to bring charges against former President Donald Trump and said Florida would not assist in any potential extradition process. DeSantis is viewed as Trump's biggest competitor in the 2024 GOP presidential nomination race, according to a new poll. Other Republicans, including Nikki Haley and Mike Pence, have also rallied behind Trump in the wake of the indictment.
