Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is attempting to have the judge removed from the ongoing lawsuit filed by Disney against him and his administration. DeSantis claims that the judge has shown bias against him and his policies, particularly his criticism of Disney's "woke" ideology. The lawsuit was filed by Disney after DeSantis stripped the company of control of the Reedy Creek Improvement District and encouraged state legislation to void development agreements. Disney claims that its First Amendment and other constitutional rights were violated in retaliation for opposing the state's "Don't Say Gay" law.
