"Election-denying donors flood Wisconsin Supreme Court race with cash"

More than $3.9m has been contributed to the Wisconsin supreme court election in support of conservative candidate Daniel Kelly, with donors including anti-abortion thinktanks, conservative billionaires, and groups funded by Wisconsin shipping supply tycoon Richard Uihlein. The contributions come from individuals and groups involved with promoting election disinformation and attempts to overturn the 2020 election. The Wisconsin supreme court race has broken national campaign spending records, with political ad orders for both candidates reaching at least $20m. The winner of the race will determine the ideological composition of the court, which has been dominated by the right wing for 15 years, and will have a significant impact on redistricting, abortion rights, and voting rights and elections policy.
