Federal court blocks Ohio’s citizenship proof rule for voter registration

A federal judge temporarily blocked Ohio from enforcing a rule requiring proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, saying the policy conflicts with the National Voter Registration Act and halting its implementation ahead of the November midterms.
