Florida poised to become a permitless carry state.

A bill allowing gun owners in Florida to carry without a permit has been passed by the state Senate and now heads to Governor Ron DeSantis' desk for approval. The bill would allow gun owners to carry a gun into most public places, but not where state lawmakers meet. The measure does away with background checks, training, and fees for a concealed weapons license. Democrats warned it would be a recipe for more gun-related deaths. Florida would be the 26th state in the U.S. to allow permitless carry.
