Fresh Allegations Cast Shadow Over Maine Senate Hopeful Platner
TL;DR
A New York Times report details six women’s accounts of volatile relationships with Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, including heavy drinking and demeaning behavior, with one accusation of physical intimidation. Platner acknowledges a dark period tied to undiagnosed PTSD and self-medication, and disputes the intimidation claims. The piece also revisits a Nazi-symbol tattoo controversy and reports of sexually explicit messages with other women, complicating his bid as Democrats weigh how to proceed ahead of the Maine primary.
