Galloway named by Newsom to UC Regents seat

California Gov. Gavin Newsom appointed NYU marketing professor and podcaster Scott Galloway to a seat on the University of California Board of Regents; if Senate-confirmed, he will join the 26-member panel overseeing UC’s 10 campuses and about 300,000 students. Galloway has discussed higher education access and policy, and has publicly criticized some elite universities while praising UC’s efforts to expand access.
