Georgia GOP Settles Senate and Governor Races in Bruising Runoffs

Georgia Republicans chose Mike Collins to challenge Sen. Jon Ossoff in November after a hard-fought runoff against Derek Dooley, while Rick Jackson edged Burt Jones to face Democratic Gov. candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms. The runoffs featured aggressive campaigns, lawsuits over election and campaign-finance rules, and a last-minute endorsement of Jones by Gov. Kemp; turnout was light for runoffs but more than 300,000 ballots had already been cast.
