Gloria Johnson, TN State Rep., Launches U.S. Senate Campaign
TL;DR
Tennessee State Representative Gloria Johnson, a Democrat, has announced her candidacy to challenge Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn in the 2024 US Senate race. Johnson, who narrowly avoided expulsion from the Tennessee General Assembly earlier this year, is campaigning on a platform of fighting for working families and prioritizing their needs over special interest donors and Washington politicians. Blackburn's campaign has criticized Johnson as a "radical socialist" who would be a puppet for President Joe Biden and other liberal figures.
