GOP Finances Suffer as Donations Decline

Concerns are growing among Republican Party members and operatives about the party's finances, as donations to the GOP have dropped significantly. The Republican National Committee (RNC) reported having $9.1 million in cash on hand, the lowest amount since 2015, while the Democratic National Committee (DNC) reported having almost twice as much. Donors have been cutting back on large contributions to the RNC, and the party's small-dollar program has also suffered. Some donors are withholding support due to their opposition to former President Donald Trump, while others prefer to wait until the 2024 election.
