McCarthy accused Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of using the investigation for "political vengeance." Jeffries said he has "full confidence" in Democrats leading the Judiciary Committee, the Oversight Committee, and the Weaponization Committee to push back on their GOP counterparts. He also criticized the weaponization committee for fueling conspiracy theories instead of focusing on issues like the economy, inflation, job creation, and healthcare.
