Judge recuses himself from Disney-DeSantis case, accuses governor's legal team of judge-shopping.

A federal judge, Chief Judge Mark E. Walker, has disqualified himself from presiding over the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts case against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, citing a third-degree relative with stocks in the company. In his order, Walker accused DeSantis' legal team of "rank judge-shopping" and denied their motion to disqualify him from the case. The case has been reassigned to Judge Allen C. Winsor for all further proceedings. Disney filed the lawsuit in April, accusing DeSantis of weaponizing his political power to punish the company for exercising its free speech rights.
