Kentucky becomes Second Amendment sanctuary state with new bill passage.

Kentucky lawmakers have passed a bill that would make the state a Second Amendment sanctuary, prohibiting local law enforcement from enforcing federal firearm bans. The bill would also prohibit any public agency, officer or employee from enforcing or helping to enforce a federal ban on firearms, ammunition or firearm accessories. If signed by Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear, the law would prevent the use of public funds or resources for those purposes. However, a federal judge in Missouri recently struck down a similar law, stating that state law cannot trump federal law.
