Lindell fights recount terms, seeks Minnesota Supreme Court ruling in governor race

Republican Mike Lindell balked at a state-approved, upfront hand recount for Minnesota’s GOP governor primary, objecting to a format that would name only his and Lisa Demuth’s votes while others would go in a third column. He’s prepared to pay the $825,000 needed for the recount but is seeking a Minnesota Supreme Court injunction to block the limited recount; the canvassing board certified Demuth’s win by about 45,000 votes, and Lindell has also filed election-contest lawsuits in district court and the state Supreme Court.
